Tommy Gate Steel Lift Gate for Sprinter and Cargo Vans, Model 650, is a 2-piece folding platform that mounts completely inside the van and can be stored to allow easy access into the van or to maximize storage area. There is only one platform for the Model 650 - steel with formed reinforcing ribs. The platform has an automatic open and close feature that brings the platform into the van body for storage or opens it up for loading. Opening (and closing) the platform requires manually folding the platform once.

- Automatic Open and Close - This feature open the platform for use and closes the platform for storage.
- Interior Mount – the Model 650 mounts completely inside the van and can be stored close either to allow easy access into the van or to maximize storage area.
- Steel Platform Filler - Automatically bridges the gap between the platform and the van's body to allow easy loading and unloading.

NOTE: A hitch and a liftgate are incompatible on the Sprinter. If a Sprinter already has a hitch, it must be removed before installing a liftgate. Thereafter, it cannot be reinstalled
